The Second Atamuni Seya which is being built in Sri Lanka.



Atamuni Seya, a creation which consists eight kinds of stupas(pagodas), is being built in Sri Piyarathana Buddhist Centre in Maaharagama, which is situated in Kurunegala district.

The following pictures depict the eight kinds of Stupas (Dagobas). They are Bubbulakara,Gantakara, Gatakara,Ashtakara, Chaturasrakara, Amalakara, Padmakara, Danyakara. They are named so, because of their shape.

Bubbulakara (Shape of a bubble)
Gantakara (Shape of a bell)
Gatakara (Shape of a pot)
Ashtakara (Shape of a octagon)
Chaturasrakara (Shape of a square)
Amalakara (Shape of a Nelli fruit)
Padmakara (Shape of a flower)
Danyakara (Shape of a heap of grain)

Finishing Date :2600 Buddha Jayanthiya (2010 – 2011)
